How Xtra Savings works
Checkers describes Xtra Savings as a programme that applies immediate discounts to selected products when a member presents the card. It is not a points wallet, so there is no generic points balance for ZAR Rewards to retrieve or convert.
The programme, products and savings remain controlled by Checkers. Register and manage the account through an official Checkers or Shoprite channel.
How ZAR Rewards helps
Add the barcode from your physical or official digital Xtra Savings card to ZAR Rewards, favourite it and open it at checkout. The app keeps the card presentation available offline; it does not activate offers or register the account.
What to check before leaving the plastic card at home
Confirm that your local store's scanner accepts a barcode displayed from a phone. Keep the original card until you have tested the digital copy successfully.
